About Kenn & Lisa

Kenn Jacobine and Lisa Kirkpatrick are former teachers with twenty years of experience each.  Seventeen of those years were spent teaching in international schools overseas (including Ecuador, Mali, Zambia, Qatar, India, and China). During their journeys abroad, they maintained a summer home in Haywood County.

All the while, the mountains continued to call them home.

In 2018, they left their overseas life and made Haywood County their permanent home. They love it here and are sure you will, too. With its beautiful landscapes, friendly neighbors, and abundance of outdoor activities and traditional events, the mountains of Western North Carolina offers something for everyone.

One thing they noticed was that Haywood County's RV parks were crowded and lacked privacy and space. Even before the age of Covid-19 they had the idea for Mountain Life Properties of Western North Carolina. They would build RV/tiny home campgrounds surrounded by natural beauty, conveniently located to local attractions, with plenty of space for privacy and recreation and, now applicable, with plenty of space for social distancing.

For both of them, teaching was a second career. They also have lots of experience working in business. Their emphasis has always been on providing a quality product and meeting customer needs. This is the ethos they bring to their properties.
