We've got power! It happened last week and we are prepared for the homestretch in completing Phase 1 of the project.
With the pole in the ground and the power lines run to the shed and all 3 sites, we carefully filled in the trenches ensuring rocks were not buried too close to the wire or water pipe. Over time, this could cause rupturing of those items.
We then spread seed and straw over the bare earth and laid crushed rock around the shed in preparation for building the entrance deck.
Finally, we attached an on/off value, a 90 degree joint and hose connector to the end of the water pipe. We placed the contents in the black box and filled the whole and around the hookup post.
Getting power to the property is huge. It seemed like the ground was dug up and the area unsettled for a long time. The focus can now be on completing Phase 1 by paving the road and parking spaces, finishing the interior build out of the shed, and building decks.
